Barrie Simcoe Sport Alliance
The Barrie Kempettes are proud to be an active member of the Barrie Simcoe Sport Alliance, a local organization that participates in maximizing Sport participation in the City of Barrie and Simcoe County.
Key areas the BSSA will focus on:
- Promoting the availability & benefits of sport
- Promoting & facilitating communication between different sports organizations
- Advocating for equitable sport opportunities & facility development
- Developing opportunities for networking and mentoring in the sport community including development of shared/affiliated memberships between member organization
- Improving the level of sport funding through collaborative grant proposals, shared projects and advocacy
- Providing leadership and a voice for collective sport initiatives
- Providing liaison with corporate and government organizations and celebrating sport achievements and the value of volunteers
